Banquet

Just wanted to tell everyone that I thought the banquet at Boskey's went very well. I am proud of the great turnout, and Mr. Davis had a great time. The videos were awesome, thanks to everyone who helped with them. The bus ride was CRAZY!!! The boys had a great time, it is well worth what we spend for these boys to enjoy the night one last time. They earned it, and had a great time. Thanks again to everybody who has helped this year, I really enjoyed these young men and am looking forward to next years teams. Enjoy your summer and i'll see you in August.

Try-outs / next season

6th grade and JV, we will be having try-outs in August for next years squad. Stay sharp during this off season and come to try-outs in top shape! We will announce try-outs at school and try to send something home, just giving you a time frame to be ready by. Enjoy your summer and congratulations on a great season of CCMS baseball! All varsity and JV players, please turn your uniforms into Coach Harris this week, or bring them to the banquet Wednesday night. (shirts, pants) I know some of the pants will be in rough shape, but they may be used as practice pants next year. I hope I didn't ramble on during awards night, I am very proud of all of these young men, and just wanted them to know that! Hope to see you at Boskey's, thanks for a great season. Thanks to booster club / volunteers

I would like to say "thank you" to all of the people who volunteered this season. There are too many people to list, I will see you in person to thank you. Whether it was on the booster club, or simply helping in the concession stand. It takes many unselfish people to make a program as successful as ours. You guys deserve a "pat on the back" for helping us make this season a success. The hard work paid off, we were able to give these young men what they deserve because of you. People who don't volunteer have no idea what goes on "behind the scenes". Again, just wanted to say "thank you" from all of the coaching staff!

Great season !!!!

I really don't know where to start, I am very proud of you young men this year! This has been a tough year with the weather making such a big impact on us. You guys have "weathered the storm" and put together a successful season. Talk was that we would be weak this year, with few 8th graders and 7th graders having to play up. You men showed what hard work and dedication can do. You earned every win you got this year. Baseball is a sport that takes a special type of young man to play, and play the "right way". You played the "right way", and it payed off. You earned the respect of every team you faced this year, and I believe we were the most feared team in the conference tournament! You have earned my respect as a coach!

JV, you guys have put some fear into the other teams in our conference! You did a great job this year, and showed what is coming in the future during the JV tournament. Next year won't come free, you have to condition and work hard to become a faster, stronger player during the off-season. You can be 1st this time next year, you have to go out and do it! Congratulations on a second place tournament finish.

6th grade, you guys did an awesome job as well. People said you could not play on the "big" field. They said you should stay in Little League, on a smaller field. I DISAGREE!! You showed those people you can do it, you were successful, by having 2 "true" JV teams on the ropes, and beating a good Blackman team, you showed you have the ability to play at the next level. You also need to work hard during the off-season, improve your game, and you can be in 1st place as a JV squad this time next year.

8th graders, I will miss every one of you guys. I hope you know you can call on me any time you need me. I hope that the coaches made an impact on you, and you enjoyed the year, we have enjoyed being around you all. Good luck in the future, whether its in sports, or in your academics, I hope you put forth the same work ethic towards your goals in life that you did in baseball. If you do, you will all be successful. I hope to see you soon.

Awards night

Thursday night is awards night at the middle school. It is usually in the gym. Everybody (6th, JV and varsity) should attend. Wear something nice, you will be representing the team and your school. The tournament has been cancelled for this weekend.

Varsity Tourney ! BLAH !

What a way to end the season! RAIN!!! We are looking at Monday at 5pm for the next game, but the weather does not look promising. This entire week is looking bad for games, there are high chances of rain every day. Franklin County got even more rain than we did, if you can believe that. We will update you as soon as we find out something. Thanks.

Friday nights game cancelled

Tonight (Friday) game is cancelled due to weather. (been a pain all year) It is rescheduled for Saturday at 11 am. Be at the school by 9:15 am, bus will leave at 9:30 am. Wear same uniforms we have been winning in this week. Lets pray for no rain and lets get these games in! Good Luck!!
