Auction / Fundraiser for Cody / Aug. 1st
There will be an auction / supper fundraiser on Aug. 1st, at the Coffee County Middle School. The supper will start at 5 pm, the auction will start at 6 pm. We need as much "stuff" donated to auction off as we can get. You can drop off any items at the Manchester Police Department, located in City Hall on the square, at any time, 24 hours a day. Cody is "rockin it!"
Cody looked great last night. Me and the family went to visit Cody and Mark last night, I was AMAZED at how much he has improved over the last 3 days. He is now moving both arms, eating great and just looks like the Cody we all know. I think when he gets to Atlanta, he will amaze everyone. Cody, we love you and we are very proud of you! Keep it up and we will be down to Atlanta to see you in your new place next week! Coach Floied
INSURANCE PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!
Great news today, Cody's insurance has been picked up and backed up to June 1st! This is due to the many people who cared enough to voice their concern for the Holder family and make some calls to people who can make a difference, and those people DID make a difference! A BIG thanks to everyone who got on board with this and made it happen. There are too many people to thank, so a generic thanks to everyone, you know who you are! Mark wanted to express his gratitude also, this is a major accomplishment for Cody, now they can get him scheduled to get to Atlanta ASAP. I'm proud to be a Red Raider! Coach Floied

Cody Holder update, 6/24/09
Cody did well in surgery today! Everything with the surgery went as planned and Cody was a trooper throughout it. He still has several tubes ( ie..breathing) in and the doctors are planning on taking them out tonight. Lets keep praying and hope getting these tubes out will start the healing process for Cody. Mark wanted to thank everyone for the efforts going on here at home, he knows alot of people are coming forward to help and the Holder family appreciates it. As of this moment, the insurance company is giving Mark a hard time about covering Cody, lets pray that the insurance knuckleheads get it together and do the right thing! There is the bake sale tomorrow at the Babe Ruth field at 5 pm, hope to see a great crowd. The Babe Ruth is donating monies collected at the game and profits from the concessions. We are working the gates for the state softball tourney this weekend, those proceeds will go to the Holder family as well. If you cross paths with anybody from the Babe Ruth or softball side, give them a "pat" on the back, this is a heartfelt gesture by these two groups and the Holders would like to express their gratitude! I am working on a benefit auction/supper for late July, or early August. Cody Holder update, 6/23/09
Cody made it through the night, every body's prayers were answered! He is not out of the woods yet though. He is having a very dangerous surgery on Wednesday morning at 8 am. It is about a 6 to 7 hour surgery. Keep him and the doctors in your prayers for this difficult surgery. Myself and Coach Meeker, along with A.J., Peyton Floied and Peyton Meeker went and visited Cody tonight. It was a humbling experience to see the Children's Hospital! I really think Cody was "happy" to see some familiar faces, not nurses and doctors, but friends from home. He needs all of the support he can get from us back home. All of you ball players are a family, and it has been very difficult to see Cody in pain. All of you boys we coach are a part of our lives, we love you and want to see you grow up into healthy young men. Lets work hard and show Cody how much he means to us! Fundraisers for the Holder family
The CCMS baseball booster club is having a "bake sale" on this Thursday, at 5pm, if you would like to help or donate, please be at the Babe Ruth field by 4:30 pm. We need whole pies, cookies, cakes, etc... Questions contact Mary Beth Johnson or Tiffany Meeker. Ricky Meeker has offered to give us the "gate" money taken in this weekend at the park. They are hosting the girls state championship. If we provide the kids and adults to work the gate, we will get that money to donate to the Holder family as well. Prayers for the Holder family
All of the team and our extended family extends our thoughts and prayers to the Holder family. Cody was involved in an accident in a swimming pool today. He is at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in very serious condition. I will try to update his condition as it becomes available. We love you Cody, hang in there! Coach Floied
