Titans Games & Fair Booth

We still have three open spots to work for Tennessee Titans games. Please remember this is part of our fundraising that pays for our use of the high school facilities. We need these spots filled as soon as possible--each family should be working at least one of these games. Please contact Tiffany Meeker if you can fill one of these vacant spots.

Also, the fair booth sign up sheet is being re-worked into shorter shifts and to allow the boys to work on Friday and Saturday when they are out of school. A revised sign up sheet will be sent out soon, or will be available at the next parent meeting. We are going to need lots of help to keep this booth staffed the whole week of the fair. Thank you for all your support!

player contracts

The player contracts handed out at the first booster club meeting are due back in this week. They can be turned into Coach Harris at school. If you were not at the MANDATORY meeting (parents and players), then you can get a contract from Coach Harris. I understand there were some in fall ball in Murfreesboro and one was sick. Those are definitely excused. I'm glad to see a couple of players participating in fall ball to improve your game. For those of you who were not present, your attendance is necessary for the success of this program!

The softball tournament this past weekend was a great success. "Thanks" to all of the volunteers who worked. There were long hours put in and it will pay off for the Holder family! Norman and Linda Cooper did an awesome job organizing this event. Congratulations to the winners.

MANDATORY baseball meeting !!!

There will be a MANDATORY baseball meeting on Thursday (20th) at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria at the middle school. The 2010 booster club will be elected and important information will be handed out to all parents and players. I realize there is a home football game, those players are excused from the meeting, but their parents will need to be present. We should be done in plenty of time to watch the game. Any question feel free to contact myself or Coach Meeker.

Thanks,
Coach Floied

2010 Try Outs

Just wanted to send a little reminder out to all of the returning players that will be trying out, remember the coaching staff will be looking harder at each of you so come out and be prepared. We want to see who worked hard in the off season. Please remember just because you made this team last year doesn't mean you will make it again this year- we expect to see improvements in each returning player. Also we understand that your nerves may get to you during try outs but we as coaches can tell so please come prepared. Good luck to each and every one of you.

2010 season try-outs

The 2010 CCMS Red Raiders baseball try-outs are scheduled for Aug. 15th and 16th, at the Coffee County High School baseball field. Aug. 15th (Sat.) is at 10:00 a.m., the 16th (Sun.) is at 2:00 p.m. Try-outs are open to all students from CCMS (6th thru 8th grade) This is for varsity and JV squads. We will not have a separate 6th grade team this year due to having to share a field causing scheduling conflicts. If weather is an issue, we will have the hitting portion of try-outs in the hitting facility. Any questions contact myself or Coach Rodney Meeker.

Thank You,

Cody Holder benefit a HUGE success!!

What a night, Cody's benefit was a great success! We got close to 14,000.00!!!!!!! I hope it was a cool surprise seeing Cody show up, that was not an easy secret to keep for 3 weeks. There are too many people to thank for the success of this, you know who you are if you helped in any way and a heartfelt "thank you" from myself, Coach Meeker and the Holder family. I especially want to thank the baseball community, and the CCMS booster club (past and present), this has been a humbling experience seeing all of the gracious people coming out and helping.

Thank You,
Coach Floied
