CCMS Fall Baseball Clinic

We will be conducting a baseball clinic on Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Little League fields. The clinic is open to 6 thru 12 year olds. We will be working on agility drills, fielding, throwing, batting, base running drills and pitching. Lunch will be provided.

Forms can be obtained at schools or from board members. The cost is $40.00 per child / $60.00 for two children. Form and payment needs to be received by Oct. 1st.

Pass the word and lets get some local children "fired up" about out baseball program. Thanks for your help. All returning players are to be at the clinic to help assist the younger players.

Important Dates

United Regional Medical Center (Martha McCormick) has proposed to do our team physicals at no cost! That is awesome and if you know or meet anyone from URMC, please thank them for their support. The date for the physicals is Oct. 8th, immediately after school at the hospital. The link to the web site for the physical forms is : http://www.tssaa.org/Forms/forms.htm . Download the TSSAA Preparticipation Medical Evaluation Forms and Emergency Treatment/Parent's Consent Form. Make sure your child brings it with them. I HAVE to keep the Emergency Treatment form on file with the team every where we go. Please complete this and send it with your child on the 8th.

On and/or after Oct. 1st, you can take your child to Cooper Sports and More to get them fitted for their uniform and equipment for the upcoming season.

The dates for the "Cody Holder Invitational", our playday on the high school field, : March 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th. This is our major fundraiser for the year.

Parent Meeting & Fundraising Information-CHANGE

Due to the TIPS training at the High School on Thursday, September 17, our next scheduled parent meeting will be Wednesday, Sept 16 at 5:30 pm. Mary Beth will go over all the fundraising information. We will also be holding a baseball clinic for ages 6-12 on Saturday, October 3 at the park. The coaches will contact returning players needed to help out that day. T.I.P.S. training for LP field info.

There will be T.I.P.S. training for anyone who will be working Titans games this season at the high school, in Coach Jones portable (it is next to bus loading parking lot). The date is : Thursday night, the 17th, at 6p.m. You must have this training to sell any alcohol or take money for alcohol sales at LP field. This training is good for 3 years, so this will carry over to the players who go on to play high school ball. Thanks for your help, this is what gives us a field and hitting facility to use. You parents are vital for the success of our program, I believe this will be a great year, lets get off to a good start.

Thank You Cookout from the Holder Family

This Saturday, September 12, there will be a cookout at the Forrest Mill Church of Christ gym/fellowship hall as a Thank You from the Holder family to everyone who has worked hard for Cody. Cody, Mark and the whole family will be there to visit with everyone from 10am until 6pm. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, and anyone who wants to bring side dishes, chips, desserts, etc is welcome to. Please join us for a great afternoon!

Next Parent Meeting

The next parent meeting will be Thursday, September 17 at 5:30pm in the CCMS cafeteria. We will be discussing various fundraising activities to cover expenses for the 2010 season. We will also discuss ideas & suggestions for our 2nd annual entry in the Manchester Christmas parade.
